Privacy Policy - Effective date: November 6, 2026
Clothing That Speaks (clothingthatspeaks.com) is operated by Andrew Hanson's F LLC in Los Angeles, California. This policy explains what information is collected when you visit the site or place an order, how it's used, and the choices you have.
Information collected:
When you place an order: your name, email address, shipping and billing address, phone number (if you give one), and the details of what you bought. Payments are processed securely by the store's checkout and payment providers. Clothing That Speaks never sees or stores your full card number.
When you email or contact me: your name, email address and anything you include in your message.
When you sign up for emails (if you choose to): your email address, so I can send you news about new work and releases. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
When you browse the site: basic technical information that browsers share automatically, such as your browser type, device, language, the page that sent you here, the pages you visit and the time of your visit. This is used to understand how the site is used and to keep it working properly.
How your information is used:
To process, make, ship and deliver your order
To send order confirmations, shipping updates and timelines for made-to-order pieces
To answer your questions and handle exchanges or problems with an order
To send email updates, only if you've signed up
To understand how visitors use the site and improve it
To prevent fraud and protect the shop and its customers
Your information is never sold.
Who your information is shared with:
Your information is only shared with the services needed to run the shop:
Squarespace, which hosts the website and runs the store and checkout
Payment processors, which handle your payment securely
Shipping carriers (such as USPS, UPS or FedEx), which receive your name and address to deliver your order
Google, as described in the Google Customer Reviews section below
Legal authorities, only if required by law or to protect against fraud
Cookies and third-party services:
This website uses cookies and similar technologies, such as web beacons, to run the site, process orders and understand how visitors use it. Some of these are placed and read by third parties that help run the store, including Squarespace and Google.
Google Customer Reviews: after you place an order, you may be invited to take part in Google Customer Reviews. If you choose to take part, Google will receive information about your order, such as your email address, order number and expected delivery date, so it can email you a short survey about your experience. Participation is optional. Google handles this information under its own privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Managing cookies: most browsers let you view, block or delete cookies in their settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the site work, including checkout. You can learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
Do Not Track: some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. There isn't yet a common standard for how websites should respond to it, so this site doesn't currently change its behavior when it receives one.
How long information is kept:
Order information is kept as long as needed to fulfill orders, handle exchanges, and meet tax and accounting requirements. Email list information is kept until you unsubscribe.
Keeping your information safe:
The site uses secure (HTTPS) connections, and payments are handled by trusted payment processors. No method of storing or sending information online is completely secure, but reasonable steps are taken to protect your information.
Your choices:
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information held about you, or unsubscribe from emails at any time. Email artist@clothingthatspeaks.com and I'll take care of it.
Children:
This site is not meant for children under 13, and information from children under 13 is not knowingly collected. If you believe a child has shared information here, email artist@clothingthatspeaks.com and it will be deleted.
Changes to this policy:
This policy may be updated from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
